Check out this smooth Michael Jackson mix by the legendary Qool DJ Marv on Soul Bounce

Qool DJ Marv has often been called the hardest working DJ in New York City.  He has spun around the world from Miami and LA to London and Croatia.  He’s been the house DJ for HBO and been commissioned to make mixes for some of the greatest legends ever in music (including Russell Simmons, Ashford and Simpson, and Michael Jackson’s greatest collaborator, Quincy Jones).  It’s only fitting that he would create Vol 2. in Soul Bounce’s Summer series of MJ mixes.  Click here for the download.  Here’s the tracklist:

Miguel Playlist

The 80’s are definitely back.  In some cases, that’s a bad thing.  Some hairstyles should never return.  In the case of Miguel, however, it’s a good thing.  He has a lot of Babyface in his vocal, and a hint of Prince, but check it out for yourself.

DJ Premier Guru Tribute Mix

Here’s the Guru tribute from the legendary DJ Premier (one of the greats–producer, DJ and person).

Gang Starr’s Guru Dead at 43

Keith “Guru” Elam died on April 20, 2010 at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer.  I knew Guru personally and he was always nice and humble when we spoke.  Regardless of all the rumors that swirled around his death, he left a lasting musical legacy, both with his co-member of Gang Starr, DJ Premier, and solo.  He will be missed.  Click here or above for my tribute playlist.
